carb jet?

i am going to be taking my fourwheeler to a local atv shop today because my fourwheeler needs some carb work ( is not letting enough gas through so it was running lean and i am wondering should i go higher with my jet? the jet toomey gave me(310) is not letting enough gas run through it, what i am asking is should i go with a bigger or smaller jet?

i think that jet is too big for your mods, do you have you airbox lid on? and i hope you make a pitstop for some vasoline because teh stealership is going to rape you.

i realize the dealership will do that but i have no idea what i am doing with a carb and they are strictly a yamaha dealer so they know their stuff and will do it right

well with the lid off your jetting is probally close, what is it doing? actin all boggy?

well i got the new toomey kit all installed and i rode it about 3/4 of a mile up the rode and it bogged down and quit. i looked down and the pipe was red hot and it wouldnt start, we got home pulled the spark plug and my dad went and got me one then the guy where he got the plug said there wasnt enough gas and too much air flowing through so it over heated and quit. i just am taking it their so they can mess with the screws and jetting. i would take it to you but im only 15 and my dad wants to take it there and i cant change his mind or i would definitely take it to you

huh, i hope its not blown up... make sure you post a follow up, im curious to see what the dealership does for ya as far as carb settings and whatnot.
