Okay im in the process of cleaning my carb, i have it almost taken off, all but a black tube that WILL NOT come out of the side and i dont want to rip it out. Please help, thanks!

Ugh, I edited this. I was not totally awake, when I read your post. foe some reason, I thought it you were talking about your slide. the black tube is likey youe hose for the oil inujection, has a little brass connector on it .

I have trouble removing them too, I have just cleaned the carb around not taking the oil tube out. (its on the right side of the carb, aka clutch side.

of its on the other side, its likely the fuel line, and those, I just grip with pliers and carefully twisit it back in forth and that usually breaks the seal and will then start to slide off with a little help.

but that other line, with the brass hitting is the oil line, and theres a trick to getting them off and I dont know it yet. I just left mine on, when I was cleaning it.

Yep its the one with the brass connector, i tried uploading pics didnt work ill learn how to upload them in a min but yes, not sure how to get the brass connector line off

The little brass collar has to be pulled off down the line a little, to release the hold on the pipe.

You should be able to pry it off with a small flat blade screwdriver.

I have the brass piece pulled down, just checking if i should try and pull the tube out now? and with my fingers right, i think the pliers might risk cutting or tearing it

I use photobucket, that works well 4 me for uploads.

Ya when I was reading in the manual how to take that one off. I got confused and I tried what I read, it was like push in and it would release. but it didnt work 4 me.

So I jsut put a towel down and sprayed the main body of the carb there.

all the wholes, ect.

Maybe someone has a tip on how to remove line.

Hows the clutch going ?

Hey there we go, got the pic up. A lil late but that will definately help in the future. Ill try and work out the tube with some cleaner then go from there. Well as for the clutch, i decided id wait until i have the engine running consistently and good before i work into the drive train. Oh ya, and as for the manual, its going ok. I mean the manual is great but my printer is out of ink and its a PAIN to run into the house every time i need help LOL but my friends running to get some ink at the moment.

yeops, thats the oil injection line, take the carb out thru the other side, you will have a little more line to clean the carb and less stress on the oil line.

cant help with getting it off, i couldnt get mine,. so I just cleaned it with it on.

Ya, thats like 200 pages, standard ink cartidge does maybe 60 pages.

just print the engine section, chapter 4 and maybe the carb.

well the carb looks to need cleaned. by the pic.

i know you eager to get it running right, leak down test, is highly recommended,

yas those lines break easy, get hard and brittle, you can usally take a piece into local autostore or local atv dealer, and they sell it.

Ya, I put my stuff in bins, cardboard boxes, zip lock baggies. its a plus. real easy to loose something you will later need.
