OK, so I took the beast out today to play in the snow... first time riding since I got it. It ran fine for about 15 mins or so, then had a hard time staying running. When starting it, it would backfire sometimes and also it would rebound the kicker once in a while.. The only way i could get it started again was to pull the choke out halfway and give it lots of gas. Any clues to as what this can be?:(

???

Need more info. It sounds like it's starving for fuel. You also said it's the first time riding. Is the mix correct? ie the 2 cycle tank filled and went down a tad after riding? Or if it's premix, you got it right? Reason I ask is that's the perfect amount of time to burn a top end and they will struggle to run about like that. So check the compression, check the airfilter, then maybe take the carb off and apart and clean the daylights out of it. Remove the stupid tors if it's still on. Let us know what happens and keep us posted.

its done this several times now... every time, it happens after some full RPM riding. Its about 40 degrees out. Plug chop seems normal. Fresh gas in the tank. TORS is still intact. Once it cools off, it runs normal again.

It sounds like your running lean. What size main jet are you running? Are you running airbox lid ? Could be an air leak? float height could be off.

i'll pull the carb and see what jets I have later... Im going to ditch this POS carb and get a 32mm or a 34mm this weekend I think too. The airbox lid is still intact. I don't think i have a leak, i'll check with carb cleaner later as well.
