carb fitment

i cant get my 28mm carb to fit the stock air boot. it fits the intake mani side perfect, but the airbox side is being a biotch, i tried trimming some of the rubber out with a razor, and took the clamp off and this thing will not fit. what am i doing wrong i feel like an idiot?

Try a little bit washing up liquid or a bit of 2 stroke around the air box neck.

I have an intake I am working on now. It's a little red neck. But It will feed to the carb similar to a Banshee stock boot then to a K&N filter. I'll post it in a week or 2 when I get it finished. Waiting for my jug and head right now.

cut the tube down get a peice of thin aluminum tube clamp it to where u cut it the get a rubber adpter or radiator hose n clamp it all together
