i just got my rebuild kit since my float was leaking gas out like it was its job..
so i went ahead and took my carb apart, replaced all the parts that i could. and i put it all back together.
i screw the top slide back in..and its loose?

no matter how tight the top nut is, the whole slight moves back and forth with alot of play..it def didnt do this before i took it apart..
fail

what do i do with that?
i mean i was gonna buy a bigger carb soon anyway but is there anyway to save this one

well anyways, where can i find a 30mm for cheap. im doing some moderate port work with a stroker, pipe etc. and i hear thats a good size and i wont need a diff mani..might as well buy it now since this ones giving me trouble

sounds like you're missing the gasket outta the top, musta fell out while apart, it didnt shrink while apart, so you musta lost somnething

I was thinking the same thing. sh*t doesnt just change size. You changed something. it aint broke, so no need to fix it but a new carb is always nice. Check to see if you missed anything putting it back together then recheck. then buy yourself a new carb if all else fails.

yea i def f*cked something up and no the gasket is there, its actually brand new lol. i was told i might have put the slide in backwards lol. ill check it tomorrow. but i still want a new carb haha
