carb adapability?

Would I be able, or is it possible to put a carb from a different bike??? I keep finding banshee 36mm (2-1??) also, I have a rm 125 and 250 carbs.. and a 250r carb.. wondering, has anyone attempted to marry such a mutation?? or any other carb adapts?.. because these and others near the same size mm are much more abundant and cheaper on ebay than the blaster upgrades.. any thoughts.

if you have a trx250r carb use it! just dremel the intake boot out a little bit (or Snyder Motorsports makes an intake that will bolt on and work, so does pro-design) then on the other end do this
