XD I have a dc lvl 3 10 that can take 1200 all day but not for sale check into them they are very great subs you will not be dissapointed what is the amp you have?

Dakota, whats the amp rating on the fuse in that Sony.

I seriously doubt you will be able to overpower a JLW6? Do you know much about car audio? (Im asking seriously, not to sound like a condescending prick, so please dont take it the wrong way)

Your amp can never pull more current than the fuse rating will allow. For most amps, take your fuse rating and multiply it by the voltage (standard is 14.4 volts with engine running for an amp with an unregulated power supply - that sony is prolly one of those). So volts x amps = watts. So you can see how much current your amp is capable of dealing by knowing you arent exceeding your fuse rating, so you cant be pulling any more than the fuse is giving it.

JL W6s are mean sumbitches. Your amplifier most likely wont be able to overdrive one.

Car/Home audio is another one of my hobbies.
