cant find air leak

so i was out riding today and when i got my rpms way up the kill switch wouldnt kick in for a few seconds and when i gave it throttle it would act like the kill switch was still on.I had just rebuilt the topend and used brand new gaskets so i thot i was good. i brought it home and leakdown tested it and there doesnt seem to be a leak except for when the piston is all the way down,then it just leaks out the exhast. peex help.thanx

You need to pull the pipe off and plug the exhaust port to properly leakdown test the engine.
What tester are you using ?

ok ill pull the exhaust off. I purchaased all the parts from a hardware store but i used hose clamps on all the joints and teflon tape on the threaded parts so i think its good.any tips on how to plug that exhaust port off?
