Three questions. One: Reeds? Do they sit flat on the cage, with no chips or damage? Check them.

Two: Piston installation. Do you have the piston in the proper direction? Most have an arrow which points towards the exhaust port. Check it; be sure you don't have the piston in backwards on accident.

Three: Leakdown test. Have you done a leakdown test on this engine? Look around on the forum here for more info on this. Do a leakdown test and see if your engine holds 7psi of pressure for at least 10mins...

...And of course, do what everyone else is saying and perform a compression test. You'll need at least 100psi to run; 120 + psi is considered 'healthy'. Be sure to test while holding the throttle wide open. Kick until the needle on the gauge stops moving.

in the words of phagle......

1. state the problem clearly and concisely in language that those older than 15 can understand.

2. State the engine modifications.

3. tell us what you did to it before it acted up

4. results of compression and leakdown test.

5. EGT readings if possible.

6. pictures of distruction if applicable.

7. List trouble shooting precedures done and the results.

8. Now that you have a clear understanding of your problem, use the search function to look for an answer.

Think of it as a math problem. We can not give an accurate answer if you don't give us the enitre equation... We can't tell you the answer is 15 when all you tell us is 7+1= ?, we can only give an accurate answer when you tell us 7+7+1=
