I am thinking of buying a used 240 Vitos cylinder off of a friend. The problem is that it needs to be bored .20 over. It is 72 mm right now, but the cylinder wall is scarred up pretty bad. Would it be any overheating problems doing this, reliability issues, no where to buy a piston for it, etc.
I am about to pick up 2 Blasters to rebuild and play with. One is for my buddy that I am going to bore it .10 or .20 over stock. What piston kit is the best for performance and reliability for this?
The one for me I want to build it up for some serious pump gas horsepower. What direction would you go for this? I have been in the 4 stroke scene for awhile, and don't know what direction to go in. I want a reliable trail quad. I know it aint going to run with my LTR 450. Would it be better to bore the 240cc Vitos kit .20 over and leave the crank stock? Or would it be better to bore the stock bore .20 over and go +3mm crank? Or +.20 over 240 bore and +3mm crank? Any fitment issues, performance issues, reliability issues, etc.

you should be fine with the 240 bbk with the .020 over as long as its jetted then it should be fine.. FORGED BLASTER BIG BORE... i would buy the vitos/wiseco forged piston there cast pistons are junk.. and i would drop a 3mm crank in there or maybe just a hod rods stock stroke crank, idk if the stock crank would hold up..

i have a ported 240 big bore thats bored .010 over, milled head and a stroker and its very reliable..

Would it be better to do Vitos/Wiseco stock piston and +4 mm stroker or 240 Vitos +.20 over and stock crank?

if your going to go with any stroker crank, you'll want to get the cylinder ported for the added stroke. if i adsolutely had to choose between your 2 options then i'd go 240 kit with stock crank. the stock porting on the vito's kit is sh*tty but i think it'd be better then a stroker crank and a stock cylinder, imo
