Hey I'm Dewey and I have posted here once a little while back.
The problem I am having now in my daughters Blaster has a burnt smell while it is running. I have replaced the Right main bearing seal as I was told by a friend. It seemed to be a little better for a few minutes but still smokes and smells of burnt oil, cant tell if oil level has gone down any help woulld be great as she needs to race it this weekend (sat) The oil injection is removed (running 32:1 premix),TORS is removed oter than that it is a stock 2006 blaster
thanks Dewey

I am using Maxima Castor 927, but I have been using it fo a while and it didn't smell like this before

Are you sure that the mix is 4oz. oil to 1 gal. gas? Also if the machine idles for long periods the oil will drop out of the mix and settle in the base. So now what you get is a concentrated ratio of oil//gas. Clean her out by holding it near wide open for a couple of miles. I once used Mazola corn oil to get me home, and my machine smelled like popcorn for a month.

ya like i said before the oil is the same i have used for quite awhile now and it didnt smoke and smell like it does now.

I talked to another friend of mine and he thinks it could be residule oil after I replaced the crank casre seal. I havnt had alot of time to get out and run it out but holding my fingers crossed, He told me it could only be that or maybe I messed up the new seal or the case is alittle bit loose causin oil to seep through. lets hope for the first one.

i would say new top end. blasters are known to burn some oil though...maybe shes just getting old?
