Well I haven't really ran my blaster in a few weeks, I had been kicking it over about 10 times before I found it didnt have spark, but now it does, and when I started it now, it revved up high and burned off that fuel, cool, but now it smokes a lot.... I mix my fuel 40:1, no more, no less, and it smokes pretty heavily. It never burned tranny oil when I had it really running last before the rebuild, but the engine never came apart, it just came out of the frame, then went back in at the end of the project. is there any signs of burning transmission oil other than smoke? like, sounds? hard to start? I think there was just a build up of oil in the engine and its burning off now, or it could be my new carb or silencer, but I want to be sure.

thanks

Could be any number of things...maybe your rings didnt set right, or a clogged jet...What carb did you get???

does it still rev up high???

no I think its the mixture the new carb is adjusted to, the engine was never apart, it just came out, sat, and went back in with a new silencer and carb. the carb's jetting is correct for my setup according to the previous owner, but it is far newer than my motor.
