seems like if I ask 10 people about how to break in my blaster (which will be completely rebuilt soon), I will get 10 different answers. I know it has been beat to death, but I would like y'alls input on what I am planning to do.

1. Fill with fresh premix and transmission oil

2. Start engine, run for 15 minutes, while varying RPMS, but don't ride it. During this step I will also fine tune the carburetor.

3. Allow 30 Minute Cool down

4. Check and retorque if necessary on head and jug

5. Start engine, warm up for a few minutes, then ride it for about 15 minutes, being very easy on it (I have a 1/4 mile driveway on a hill, so I can get up and downhill motion)

6. Allow 30 Minutes Cool down

7. Repeat 5 & 6 with up to 1/2 throttle, 3/4 throttle, and finally WOT

8. Change plug and transmission oil, check and retorque if necessary head and jug, check over all systems.

9. Make sure to not run at one RPM for extended periods for the first couple tanks of gas

During the break in you don't want to stay in one gear for too long at all, constantly shift gears at low rpm's and avoid mud and hills as you could over heat your new engine. 8 0 To really play it safe, the manual says small bursts of full throttle is okay ( no more then 2-3 seconds ) then ride in low rpm's to let your engine cool down. Also recommends not exceeding 1/2 throttle speed for the first 10 hours, and not to exceed 3/4 throttle speed for the next 10 hours. Then you can ride it like you stole it ! haha
