breaken up on top end

is the float set right? and are you sure its flooding and maybe not getting enough? is it smoking more than normal?

well when i got it the dude thought the float was messed up and i messed with it and it stoped flouding and then it sat for like a week when i was replacen the axle bearings and when i went out to ride it was flouden so i took it apart and was benden the tab on the float that closes the gas off witch is how i fixed it the first time and now it dosnt floud but its boggy and breaks up on top end

do u have jets? id say go a size up and see how it is. i belive 230 is stock, is it not? what pipe u got on there? you should be up to a 260 or something with just the pipe.

id say 260, but im not a jet guy. maybe someone else will find this and respond. someone that knows more about jetting. but id say 260. but dont go buyin any just yet.

1. Warm engine up.
2. Kill engine.
3. Install brand new never used spark plug.
4. Start up Blaster and immediately run through all 6 gears wide open throttle. When you reach the top of 6th, pull in clutch and kill engine.
5. Roll to a stop with engine off.
6. Pull plug.

If plug is tan color or lighter, go up a size on main jet. If it is almost black to black, go down one main jet size. If it is a medium brown (Starbucks coffee+ 6 creams), it is right on. Repeat process until coffee color is achieved.

That is IF your carb is clean and you have no air leaks.

that could be your problem. it must be sealed or its going to run lean. get it running and let it idle then spray some carb cleaner on the intake connections and intake boot. if it revs up when u spray it in that spot, you found an airleak. they should really be clamped down.

If your running a stock jet (230) with a DG pipe and .40 over thats your problem, way to lean. Go to at least a 250, but coulkd be as high as a 280 or 290. Change the jets before you ride anymore or it could blow very easily.
