the other day i got a boyson reed valve system ,the whole reed cage ,its a aluminim block , any one used one? , can you port it? theres alot of metal to work with ???

yup, couldnt be happier with it I:I. what i did was open mine up and shaped the lip where the intake and RAD valve meet making one smooth surface from carb to reeds.
wow for free? thats freakin awesome... from what i hear (from noober) if you want low end punch leave it stock... if you want a more mid or high port it a little.
the whole engin came with it but it was blown DAULSTROKE has the engine now,
do i open it up or just kinda make it more smooth kinda ? im pretty fermilar to porting i did to my go kart engine and stuff and my blaster
im not familiar with the reed cage... probably either flotek or super noober will be your guy to either give you a pic or tell what in more detail... sorry ive never even seen them in person to begin to tell you
here are a few pics as i did it, sorry i never took a finished pic i was in a hurry getting ready for busco lol. but here is the nasty lip i got rid of, i used the dremmel to shape the metal so there is a rather sharp edge where the intake and rad valve meet making it nice and shooth.
and just a few more before i finished by sanding it all super smooth but you see how i knocked the edges off where the petals attach so more of a charge can hit them.
his looks like a redesigned version of yours noober... i say bold it on the bike before you port it you may love the way it feels right away... if not then you can start to tune it in with some porting
