new castle pa
im sick and tired of this sh*t. i treat my blaster like a new born baby. if its not one thing its another. it blew up todaY. no compression. will not start. plenty of spark. this is the 3rd time and im broke i cant pay for it anymore, i may just part it out. i keep it maintained i make sure its ok. i was it when i get a chance. change oil after every 6 or 7 rides. im just so sick of its stuff. this is the second season ill be sitting out.X(X(X(X(:(:(:(:(:(

damn dude! parting out may be the best option at this point, you're too far into it for it to be worth fixing imo. Do you have any idea why it blew? air leak?

i blew the head gasket. my grandpa told me to ride it when i wanted to leave it. he would not just let it be

get it pulled apart and get pics of the carnage !!!!!!!
possible it's just the gasket

BTW, IMO, head gaskets only blow for one reason...not retorqing them enuf after doing the heat cycles, after i had one blow, i threw the torque wrench out, and just crank them SOB's tight, havent had a problem since

i have not touched the motor since i got it back from the shop that "fixed" it. (and i use that term loosely )

yeah man i would make sure it isnt just the gasket. blown gaskets tend to hurt compression. just hope it didnt leak and go lean for long before

wow that SUCKS man hope its JUST the gasket! get us sum pics duder.. i'd blame it on gramps and the shop.. if they did it recently and suddenly it blew outta nowhere its the shops fault

Why would it be the shops fault ? It's been running fine. Stuff don't last forever and that's exactly what they'd say. If it blew on the first kick would be a different story. I'm sorry to hear of his troubles but it could very be caused by some thing they didn't even touch and it was it's time to go.

Isn't that the case?? He got it from the shop and this happened. Idk how long it was in between time but it sounds like its not too long after.

maybe 3 or 4 months after i got it back from them (they broke it after fixing it) but it sat for a while due to other various problems

you should check your head bolts occationally. you should have noticed a big difference in sound and performance if the headgasket was leakin. LEARN YOUR QUAD DUDE, and stop lettin some shop eat up all your money.

i could of rebuilt my self without taking it to the shop and it wold be running right now. i was not my choice to let the shop fix it
