Currently I have the cases split.I already installed new crank bearings(due to hole in the piston when the head leaked,ugh)Where is a good place to order a whole new seal kit.I am also looking for some detailed pics of the crank seals installed. Thanks for any help here.

I like OEM Yamaha bearings and seals. See your dealer or check Ronnies.com. Another thing you should do is coat the outer surface of the seal with blue lock tight. This will seal any voids in the case and lock the seal in place. Don't get any lock tight on the inside of the seal. Once the seal is in place, coat the void between the seal and the case with high temp silicone. This is an extra precaution to ensure that no air will leak. Make sure you use PC seal grease on the inside of the seal when you do the installation.
Thanks for the info.I would have never thought about loctite on the seals.The Clymers don't say that.
Yamabond never really dries so you may want to stick to the high temp silicone. You should only use the silicone to seal the void. Don't over do it. It only takes a little bit.
the guy i had trench my cases told me a little tip about sealing the cases with yamabond. " when your ready to slap them together, instead of putting yamabond on one side put it on both sides, and let them sit for about 30- 45 minutes so that they setup a little. then what u want to do is put another layer on one side casing, but it has to be extremely thin. and the reason for this, is because when u just put yamabond on the cases and slap them together all of the silicone gets squished out. then about a month or so down the road u end up with a leak under the motor where the two cases come together. just a little tip for everybody. gimme some reps here lol.
