Boring and Honing

Where are you located? There are likely several places local to you that offer boring/honing, just be sure that they are a good reputable shop and that they chamfer the ports after it is done. What year is the RM? Newer ones will have a nikasil cylinder and may need to be re-plated. If that's the case you will need to send it to millenium or u.s.chrome. Or, you can send it out to an engine builder such as myself. We charge $45 for bore/hone, if it's nickasil it will depend on the amount of work needed to fix the cylinder and will be between $200 and $250.

I was told that my RM is a 1994 but I'm not certain. I'll keep you guys in mind though. I found a local auto parts store that is reputable and should do it pretty cheap. I'm going to vo-tech for machining next year so I can bore, hone, and make my own parts.
