hey, i just got a blaster with a blown top end. i want to bore the cylinder to .20 over. what other mods will i have to make to the bike(carb, jetting, anything to the bottom end?)
thnx

that is such a small change that you wont have to do anything different. but you do need to figure out why the top end went the first time or you will just be redoing it again soon. a leakdown test is a must once you get it together.

it is boring, no e.
and all you have to do it get a piston kit (piston, rings, wrist pin bearing c-clips) and top end gasket kit. but first make sure that you have the right size overbore piston kit. dont want to get a .020" and need a .030" or .040"

umm i think it is .080" on a blaster, but it isn't smart to do that. you wont see any more power. you are just wasting bores. you should just go up to the next size.

i have a vito's 404 kit in a banshee, it runs decent, same bore for a while now, like 4-5 years. just wish i was ported a little for more power.

yeah dude the la sleeve is much better than vitos power wise and just about every other way you can think of.

It sounds like you wanted to bore your cylinder to get more power not to fix a problem. if you want more power from the cylinder you have send it to kenoconnorracing.com or flotech. someone like that and have it ported and the head milled with a new bore and piston. it is a few hundred cheaper than a big bore and it makes good power. but you will need some good exhaust and some jetting to make it run well.
