The older machinery is better built, now we have machines for the most part built in China. Wilton used to build great machining tools; but now they got bought out by China.
The USA won two world wars because we out produced and made better equipment, and other reasons as well. Miller got bought out by ITW in 1996 and their welders are no where as good as they once were. It sucks that we are selling out our Country they way we have been. The best machine shop tools I own are built in the good old USA. I have 2 vertical band saws made my Do-All that were made in the 1960’s. There is not a better saw then Do-All, and hope China does not buy them out. The way I look at it is that I make my money is the USA and I try to always buy machines still made here today.

I use a Sunnen hone for the finish work, they are very expensive and are made here in the USA. If you want to spend a million dollars on all the equipment that they make, by all means do so.
I have used almost everything that Sunnen makes, like I said; you better have a big bank account to buy from them. They make bad ass equipment and I love their equipment. Just got ready to spend lots of money.

we have a nice sunnen valve seat machine bondi's. He likes his quality tools and machines though. they've got so much snap on sh*t and just top notch everything. its a dream shop to work in. to bad im only doing co-op. i wish i could work there.
They're good machines but if you're going to cut valve seats the "SERDI" IS the BEST!, but they're not made in the USA!
