im wondering if a boost bottle is worth it, the best one, and does it damage the engine??:)

umm ive heard alot of bad stuff about them so i jus didnt get it i would adivse you to do the same heard some very bad stuff about them and some good stuff but no to much good stuff to out do the bad stuff so jus save you 30-40 bucks and get a new filter or somthing or save for a pipe

i understand the theory of a boost bottle. i just agree with alot of the foru members on i don't see how it can effectively recharge or discharge being a closed container and relying on vac to charge and discharge.. i would skip the boost bottle, especially since you need to upgrade your intake with an intake made to support a boost bottle. however, since i bought an intake for my son's 90 that had the adapter built in, i may grab one and see if i like it. if i don't like it, i'll dump it off on ebay for half price BIN.

well im jus not going to take the chance with it on my blaster ive heard to many bad things about it but if you wanna go out there and buy one go for it and see how you like it the best experience is 1st hand experience thats wat everybody tells me so see how you like it

you're not taking the chance of breaking anything. at worst, it's a bottle strapped to your frame that changes nothing. at best, it works.

ive heard that it melted somthing on sombodys blaster and he had to mount it somewhere else i think it was his manifold or somthin so would you take that chance of melting somthin on you blaster from a part that does absolutley nothing and you can save your money up for somthin that does help

over time it will destroy your stock manifold if you drill the hole in it and mount it the cheapo way. the weight of the bottle will crack your stock boot. if youre gonna do it, get a new intake thats made for a boost bottle. that way you at least wasted your money the right way and its not all ghetto rigged in there making it look bad as well.

i made a post about how and why they dont work recently in another thread. you should look at my recent posts and read up on it, it may open your eyes to why they dont work as advertized.

umm i breifly read up on the idea of a boost bottle.. i dont see how it would 'melt' something, i dont know if it necessarly helps tho.
did someone post a tread about it hurting the engine?
