i got a kawi 250 outa tecate in a blaster and i had it out this past weekend and when i got her up in the higher rpm's she would bog till i lifted a bit then she was fine and i could get back on it and she would go wide open. i just wondering if that normal or not?? cuz i don't remember it doin that this past winter on the ice before i put in the new clutch and moved the rad......

welcome wayne.. its about time you joined....

bog on the top end means 98% of the time your to rich on the main... BUT you also never rejetted for cold, unless the builder of the blaster did....

we need to take it somewhere we can open it up and do some plug chops... well minus the chop, to see whats going on

i only really know of one place that the two of us could go for sure once my work week is over. and i think i get what your saying, but it confusing that you said that i didn't rejet it for the cold, cuz it ran perfect this winter (from what my novice self could tell), wouldn't that mean that it was jetted for the cold and not the warmer weather already??

yeah, the little bit i rode it this winter it felt good, for having a pod filter, and the 3 wheeler the motor was in had a air box.. but yes normallyif it runs good in winter not so much in sumer

Probably rich on the main. In the winter when there is more oxygen in the air, it was perfect, but with warmer temps there is less oxygen in the air so you're rich.

Best thing to do is grab a new plug or two and a few jets that are smaller, and some rags and screwdrivers to take the carb out. Go to a field or somewhere that you can get it wide open and do a little trial and error. Also, make sure you have a clean air filter when you do this!!

thanks guys, you all saying the same thing so i know where i can start, now just to get this work week over with so i can take carb apart so i know where i'm starting from and hope and pray i don't screw it up, lol
