Blaster won't start

Hi, this summer, I've rebuild my Blaster's engine with new clutch seal, new clutch, new cylinder, piston, ring, clutch cover gasket, crankshaft, crankshaft bearings. Everything was replaced. I had trouble with the silicone gasket between the two halves of the crankcase. It pissed oil. I noticed that this ''oil'' smells gas so it might be the gasket around the base of the cylinder that leak.

The problem is my Blaster won't start. It used to start and run very well. The silicone I used is some regular red gasket maker. I'm not sure it's gas resistant or made for ATV engines. I can't find the silicone tube too so I can't be sure. I've checked my spark plug and I have sparks.

So my question is, do you think it could be the gasket between the two halves or it's something else? I'd like to know before I open it up and make another gasket. What do you think about Permatex gasket maker?

You need to use a leakdown tester. That will tell you if your case is leaking. i'm pretty sure you are suppose to use yamabond or something like that for sealing the cases. correct me if I'm wrong guys.

I don't quite know loh61546. I just use a automotive gasket maker that is the heaviest duty stuff I can find.

Yamabond is the best. But like loh61546 said a leakdown is the only way to find out if thats the problem.

I've pulled off my engine. I'll make the gasket again so it won't leak. I'd have to do it even if it's not my problem because I don't want an engine that pisses oil on the ground of my garage. My engine's oil smells gas so I'm pretty sure I'm losing compression in the crank case between the two halves. While I have the engine in my hands, I'll replace my clutch cover gasket too.
