blaster wont start

just took it apart and the piston is bad the rings broke and gouged it there is a tit on top of the piston where it got pushed up. also i took the carb apart and there is a 230 jet in it which must mean it must be running lean or something idk i cant afford to fix it

that sucks man. shops usually won't break stuff in for you, its something you have to do because its a very time consuming thing

it wasnt a "shop" it was just a guy that works on motorcycles and atvs. and instead of using gaskets he used that red gasket maker sh*t on everything he even used it on the case im so pissed im about to go down to his house and confront him cause he wont answer his phone

Dam that blows bro...............

Id throught the broken stuff at his front window!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the cases do you mean where they meet toghether? There isnt a gasket there you are supposed to use Yamalube.

the whole bottom end he split the case to see if everything was ok without telling me and of course everything was fine and when i went to check the status one time he didint have the clutch pin seated in there right and i asked why it was even takin apart he used my bike as his little expirement i think

do you think that it might have been cause the wrong jet size also the air screw on the left was all the way in when it is supposed to be 1 and a half out

its possible. what kinda mods do you have? its also possible that the rings caught in a port, or that the ring gaps weren't right

just a dg exhaust and k n airfilter i checked dgs website and they say to go up a jet size and k n said you should not have to rejet so i think im one size to small not that it matters i also have a plus 6 swingarm

I have been ridden 2 strokes for 20 years and what you were talking about i just knew it was the rings it has happened to me and my friends many of times.Hope you get it worked out.

Sounds like one of the coils I had one go out and I got mine started by "pullstarting" it too. If you have a muitimeter you can look up the ohms in the manual and test them.
