A guy asked me today if I'd trade him my 500ex motor and blaster chop frame for his blaster supposedly bored over but has low compresson.

What do yall think?

Need a little more info. If it has low compression you would need to check the bore. Stock is 66mm. You can only bore to 68.25mm. If it's close to it's last bore you would have to get a sleeve put in it (More money.) What's wrong with your EX?

Well my frame isn't for crap guy who put my motor in chopped it up and rewelded badly my 500ex I can't get to run just found out I have a 250 harness but idk what I wanna do

Well the question is what do you want and how much money do you wanty to spend. The frame should be able to be rewelded and tightened up and you should be able to get a wiring harness from ebay or craigslist.

It's just got a lot of little things that piss me off but I'm kinda sketch on his blaster, I'm not sure that's why I was getting votes lol

He says it's bored over and it was riding well they cut it off it sat then didn't wanna run after

So you have a blaster frame that needs touching up, and a motor that needs a wiring harness? Or you buy a blaster that needs a top end. I never heard of a 500 ex, but I would say get a wiring harness and continue with your project. Once it's done (If it's done right) that you will know it's good to go. You never know what you are buying. I blew the crank out of my KX20 the second time I rode it!

I'd say stick with what you already have. Blasters that need fresh topends are a dime a dozen and more than likely the amount of money you would spend fixing the topend would be enough to get your frame properly welded and a new harness.
