Hey guys new guy here read some posts an figured this is the place to be an ask for help. I just picked up a Yamaha Blaster with Tri-Z 250 engine its in sad shape it was destroyed but a couple drunk guys they were racing on an old logging road an ended up crashing (no surprise!!) anyway they broke off both side a arms an broke of the chassis tabs broke the shocks in half also from the atv rolling down a hillside. It got put behid there shop an sat for 7 years or so, I got it for 100 bucks, Got it home put fuel in a bottle an put a hose to the carb an a fresh plug an got it to fire up an run.... kinda. Anyway, im going to clean this turd up an restore it an make it look half decent again. Does anyone know about these are they fast or am i better off putting an OE blaster motor inside it again??? Have very many people done this?? Any pictures if anyone has done this, I have been told a tri z will kill banshees all day long an being the tiny wheel base this quad should be a hand full an will need a extended swingarm im thinking an it looks very very small with OE A-arms an Swingarm. Anyway thanks to anyone who can help me out.

WOW, thats different i believe a tri z motor produces alot of horse power compared to the blaster and by the way it sounds it may be easier to get a diff frame and modify the tri z motor to fit. That frame sounds jacked. But good luck never seen it done. would love to see pics.

The frame looks worse than it is, I got all new steel cut an ready to weld new lower an upper brackets into place an gusset it all when done, The motor fit really well in this chassis i was surprised when i seen it, The pipe will need modified to fit better it was held on with zip ties, But it should be interesting when this is done, Seems not many people know what to expect... Should be a first.
