Well most of you know I have a Blaster project going on. Well I never started a build thread because it was just supposd to be a quick slap together back to stock.

Well 6 months later it is still not together LOL. The reason being this site and the lack of maintanance by the previous owner.

Heres what I started with.

The motor was out of the quad and was a fresh rebuild I was told and that it was bored .50 over. The clutch assembly was of and missing pieces had no stator or magnito or side cover.
It came with a Toomey B1 exhaust kit and new Fast Trekker rear tires.

Oh and this is my first blaster.

So I started to get the motor back together and after I collect all the clutch parts, stator, flywheel, missing bolts, washers, spacers and so on. I was installing the polished allen head bolt kit I got for the motor and I noticed a head bolt was missing so I figured it just a gasket kit to tell if it was bored over what I was told. So I take the head off and it is a fresh std piston install. Just a piston and ring replacement ok good enough, till I noticed the piston was in backwards LOL. Some people.

So I go ahead and order a new top end gasket kit and turn the piston around and put it back together.

Ok motor part done...

Next I move onto cleaning the carb and take it apart to find this

So a friend of mine offerred to clean it up and rebuild it for me. Came back looking like this

As of this point the T.O.R.S. is completely removed from the quad down to unwrapping the harness and removing all the wires and rewrapped the harness. I also did this to the oil injection system and got deletion kit for both units.

So now she was looking like this

Then one day I was floating around here and seen CC&FABS Wildcard Racing aggressive trail/mx top end go up for sale/trade for a stock topend. Thought long and hard over it and next thing I know we made a deal and I now have to take the topend off again. LOL
Thats when it stopped becoming just a quick rebuild.....

So next I find a set of dualrate remote ressie WORKS fronts on ebay and win those. I ordered Race Drive stock gearing o-ring chain and sprockets (it need that also). Start thinking the stock carb isnt enough for the new top end so I won a 28mm PWK on ebay. (recommended from Wildcard for my top end). Next a set of Tusk nerf off of ebay again.

Next I saw Wojos forsale ad and made a deal with him for his bars, levers, twist throttle with cable, grips, hand gaurds, seat and a maier front race hood.
No pics of these as of yet.

So now that it got nice out I decided to take the rear off the blaster to check the swinger and carrier bearings. Well to my miss furtune the were all rusten in and basiclly ruined. I got the carrier bearings out after a long while of beating and a nice chuck out of my finger. But I wasnt so lucky with the swinger I could get the bearings out and the pieces were rusted solid so I said I aint going to f#ck with it and ordered a swing arm shop heavy duty mx +4 swinger.

So now my Blaster is down to looking like this while I wait for my carrier bearing and swing arm rebuild kit. which will be here tomorrow. I have to get some parts sand blasted and paint some parts.

I decided to cut the plastics because I think the blasters stock look isnt sporty enough. But that you will have to wait and see. But here is what I cut off. They need to be sanded alittle more than painted.

Well thats were I am at now. More to follow as progress is made.

Oh yah today I made a deal with a friend for a complete shee front hydro system. Just gotta get some Norman420 spindles. I am also getting a shee axle.

doesn't look like there's much left of those front fenders!!! lookin good fioz....can't wait to see it come together

nice. mine will probably sit for a year or two until i can just buy a motor. but i found a motor bore .070 over with a 40mm card for 300. but just the motor.

Thanks all..........

I cant wait to get her back together and ride her...........

Freek I hope we get to ride together before July LOL.............

Looking good man...!!!! Ouch on the finger dude! Ive had that happen numerous times. If it looks like a touchy situation or alot of torque involved throw some gloves on..

Well got my All Balls carrier bearings and seals and a All Balls swinger rebuild kit. Plus I got my ball bearing upper and lower chain rollers....

Well went to the local Yamaha Stealership today to order some little things I need to get the motor and swinger installed. Just talked to norman420 about getting his conversion spindles. So I think by next weekend the Blasty should all be together.

Saturday I am going to finish sanding the plastics and hit them with some Krylon Fusion paint....
