So I called my local machine shop today about boring and honing my cylinder head and they said they can do it or it might need sleeved. And said something about sticking a magnet inside of it and if it sticks they can bore it if it doesn't it has to be sleeved. Also how do I know what size piston is in it and what size to get next

Here are some pics if I'm not mistaken the last 3 numbers are size right which is 75mm correct? Also what do you guys think about what you see does that Piston look normal

Answered my own question it's a 67.50 mm weisco piston. What would be the next size

Yeah I found some 68mm which I think I'll get. That 75 had me worried I thought I was going to have to get new everything and start over. What was the price on those at vitos? And was it a full kit with good gaskets?

Yeah they build race cars and things like that I have no doubt they can do what I need as far as a bore they come highly recommended where I live. I would love nothing more than to send my motor to ken but trying to save money and do it my self

Good price on those pistons is that a full kit with gaskets or will I have to buy separately. Also what do you think of that Piston I posted a pic of is that normal to be black like that

Also that half a black ring on the cylinder head on the other pic what's up with that

Yeah but why is it on the top of the cylinder head and why only a half ring

Gasket's aren't that much extra. Only use OEM or cometic brand base gasket's. Cometic sells sets, but sometimes it's just easier to get all the parts in one package.
