blaster starting hard after rebuild

I just rebuild my engine since it was out and now i have to kick it about 8-10 times to get it to start could i have screwed something up? 1mm bored stock carb with jet kit, shaved head .020, psi racing pipe and k&n filter with modded box. Anybody know if this is normal?

Fresh gas, clean carb/air filter, new plug. Double check pilot jet.

I did a rebuild has fresh gas new plug and just bought the filter but... never check the pilot X( thank you

Check to see if the reeds are seating, and after a fresh re build it is advisable to do a leak down test.
