blaster slow in 1st and 2nd gear!!

i have a 01 blaster just bought it not to long ago...rode it a few times and it feels like its not hitting powerband in 1st and 2nd gear or something but 3rd and on is perfect changed the plug made sure i have the rite mix...has pro circuit pipes n oil blockoff thats all i know my brother has the same blaster and his pulls on me everytime...any suggestions??
 
it might be the type of exhaust you have. with mine, when i had a fmf i would have alot of power 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. now since i have my paul turner high rev, it doesnt have power in 1st or 2nd anymore. once it gets past 2nd, it pulls hard though
 
Why would a exhaust cause problems like this? I cleaned out my carb already i was going to try jetting it but havent done a compression test either..someone told me to adjust the air screw to turn all the way in and 1.5 turns out so i did that to still runs the same...also when its warmed up it wont idle for long itll bog off ina few minutes
 
air leak. do a leakdown test to be sure. maybe reeds. have you checked your reeds to see if theyre cracked, broken, or warped? and different exhausts have different power curves. mine is rated for more top end power so yours might be too.
 
So checked the reeds they lookd in good shape while i was down there completly took the carb apart it had stock jets 220 but cleaned everything out put it back together took my aur filter off and ran it w/o a filter for 10 min cleaned the filter and now its running 100 times better
 
i'd be willing to bet its way lean with a pipe and that tiny 220 jet!!!! what does the plug look like after a plug chop?
 
Yah it probly is running lean...i have pro circuit pipes on it ill be getting my jets soon..ive been hearing people say that 240 is good any ideas on that?
 
NO. Not even close. You probably should buy like 270-300. Put the 300 in. Run a plug chop. And go from there. Whatever you do DONT RIDE IT with that 220 in it
 
Take the stock 230 main out and put in a 300 to start out with. You are running retardedly lean right now. Might as well buy a compression tester and check the compression while your at it as you might have or have not fried the top end as well riding it around.
