Blaster rebuild

I have my blaster apart and I need a rebuild I have it at my
Local shop to see what I really need. If I just need piston and rings should I do it my self or should I have the shop do it? How hard would it be to do it myself

you would be able to do it yourself but you will have to get the machine shop to measure your current bore and give you an indication of the condition of the cylinder etc and then you need to decide what size piston to get. you need them to rebore the cyl with a clearance of 0.05mm and then you can fit the piston yourself

Do I have to bore it if the cylinder is fine would it be easy to blow up again?

If the cylinder is not bad, you will still need to have it honed for the new rings to seal correctly .

If it needs a new piston unless the bore is darn near perfect, I would go next oversize with new bore. If piston/bore is within specs just get it honed with new rings.
Why do you have it torn down?

To just learn and the shop said it would be cheaper if I just had the motor

it would but you would might is well buy a new one i mean these are basically the most simplest motors... and its not hard to install a new top end and i personally mean you can do it if i can.....

Best thing for you to do is look through the download manua for piston, cylinder installation and check this thread http://www.blasterforum.com/engine-13/how-install-cylinder-31635/ and decide if you can do it. If you don't have the tools to accurately measure the bore still have to take it somewhere to get it checked out, honed if good, bored if not
