i have just rebuilt my engine and i started it up so it could run for a bit and it ran for like 30 sec and then it shifted into gear on its own:o and stalled out any help out there??? 'I:I

the little roller next to it i removed that once and put back on and torked to the proper spec so i dont think its that but it wont hurt to check

One of the two shift fork shafts was not put back in it's hole between the cases. It's the most likely cause of erratic shifting after a tear down.

We've had two people with the same problem in the last month.

great something i did not want to do again?:( thanks for the help i guess im goin to have to do that after i inspect the tranny

You did split the cases? It probably has a shift fork out of place and not restrained like it should be.

Pull it back down.

I cannot stress it enough, test the transmission while the case sealant is still wet. Turn the input shaft and load the output shaft. Click it up and down in and out of gears and make sure they all work. If they don't work then, you've got MUCH less time and energy pulling it back down to fix the problem.
