blaster question

ok so i have a blaster everthing is stock except the air filter and i removed the lid wht should i change the main to on one of my other post somebody told me its running to lean

read this and learn how to do it. start with the 270 that way you are rich instead of lean so you do fry your top end and work your way down sizes

so change the main jet to a 250 and adjust the air screw thats all that need to be done right?

i did this and a 270 was wayy too rich i put int he 250 and it runs great

270 to start you will be rich but its way better to be rich and foul a plug than to be rich and fry your top end. put the 270 in. plug chop. if the plug chop reveals its rich drop down a jet size and so on until you get that nice mocha brown color in your chop

ok so just put in the 250 do i need to do anything with air screw on side of carb

lolol kinda funny going back and forth between jet sizes lol ill start at 270 and go from there

it may suck to do it but that extra 15min could save you 100+ dollars on a new top end

excatley thanks man and is there anything else i need to do like i asked do i need to adjust the air mixture screw?

that screw should be 1.5-2 turns out. so tighten it all the way in and take it out 1.5-2 turns. if you have to have it in less than 1.5 turns you are jetted to lean if you have to have it out more than 2 turns you are jetted to rich this screw should stay between that 1.5-2 turns and keep the blasty idleing nicely if it takes any more or less than the 1.5-2 turn you need to adjust jetting in the carb and plug chop again

270 is way to big on a engine with no pipe and just the lid removed 250 seems like a good spot to start and should be damn close

no all you should have to do is swap to a bigger main
