Ok, so i just bought a blaster online, get it home take it on some trails for bout an hour to find that the cylinder gasket is leaking fluid to the point where i think my tranny fluid is low, but i cant tell how to gauge it, there is no dip stick, just a cap, how am i supposed to tell how much to put in? And what type of fluid do i use?

there is a window.. you can look into there and see the level..
welcome to the site..

.69 us qt.
10w-30 se motor oil or belray gearsaver is what i use..
i use 700 ml..

hope that helps

Alright, thanx guys. I was also wonderin, if i refill it, is it okay to ride some before i get the gasket replaced, or should i stay off it till i get that fixed?

Between the case and the cylinder? that would be oil and gas mix. I wouldn't ride it because when air gets into a 2 stroke it will run excessively lean. When you replace it you will probably get some lost power back.

Is that gasket replacement an easy fix, i can get by on the easy stuff but im no mechanic, should i take it to a shop or?

I would say its relatively easy. I would remove the gas tank so you can slide the cylinder off through the frame. This way you dont have to remove the engine. Take off the 4 bolts on the bottom and slide it off. The sleeve has a taper so it is pretty easy to slide on over the rings with no special tools.

ya you should be able to do it take the head off get the rest of old gasket off put new gasket on put the head back on torque the head bolts its better to do that way you know everything is goods to go
