i avoid water on my blaster... i sucked water into my airbox once and the cold water hit the hot piston and worped the cylinder, it ran ok for awhile but i had to rebuild it
dont know about racers but i stalled a farm quad in a pond and the water went down the exhaust and now its f*cked but it was in there for about 10 mins
ya , i knwo mudding in the kodiak, i had the belt start slipping in the middle of a pond and i was just trying to lean on the back racks and gun it so the water woudlnt go down the exhaust or in the snorkel for the airbox.
i dont go threw much water with my blaster because my airbox looks like this

Water or mud up to the seat and there's a couple things to consider besides air intake. Some stuff that comes to mind:
Make sure your crankcase vent is routed higher. Motor hits that cooler water and the pressure drop causes the crankcase vent to suck water up like a straw. Doesn't take much water at all to turn oil to milk. Also I'm not 100% sure, but it's possible your carb overflow tubes could suck in water as well.
Another point, go through all electrical connections and add electrical grease/compound. If water gets in there and doesn't cause a problem now, it will later. Electrical gremlins are something you really don't want.
Splashing through mud isn't a big deal, it's no different than spraying it down during a wash. Sinking it up to the motor or higher is a whole other story. Not a good idea without special prep.
no problems here, i mean if you stay on the throttle and don't let off you are not going to suck sh*t up, as long as its not a pond and ur floating to where it is comin in under ur seat into ur airbox, lol
well i do quite a lot of mudding on my blaster but not too deep, i try to only go in mud and water upto my footpegs but i do go deeper sometimes by accident lol. but if you go through a small puddle fast then theres more of a chance of getting water into your intake as it splashes up. also i don't go through it fast to stop it splashing up.
personally i prefer to jump and stuff rather than go mudding on my blaster.
but hey whats the point in owning an atv if it doesn't see mud, even when i went to an mx track i was coved in mud by the end and that was on a dry day lol
Actually, mudding in a twostroke is better than mudding with a fourstroke. A fourstroke if it gets sucked up into the valves, you're f*cked. A two stroke you can take your plug out and kick the water out.
yeah still isn't good for it, my neighbor has a crx and his son just bent a valve on it, haha, little punk ass i told him not to drive it like a bat out of hell! you could tell too because it wasn't firing right at all, lol dumbass!
