Blaster making a pinging sound???

Whenever i slowly rev up my blaster it makes a pinging sound at a certain rpm only is that normal? It really does not sound like a knock.. Im clueless even though im sure its normal.

I thought higher octane ruined your engine not lower..

but do a compression test, list all your mods.

and predet = pre-ignition/detonation

I have no mods yet it is 100% stock.

make sure you have the right plug in there.
clean your carb.
you should be able to run 89 but the premo will give safe of mind.

I have the right plug in there & my carb is very clean I cleaned it when i got my blaster about a week ago.

And what's a premo?
