ok guys , here it goes, my son riding along hears a sort of preasure release and engine dies , at my shop;;; kick start only goes down to a cretian place and stops. clutch cover off turn onver the gear i assume is in line with the crank turns to a certian spot and stops << roll it back off the hard spot turn it back and forth -- has compression so i know the piston is at least moving , no visual gear problems with clutch cover off , anyone got any suggestions.

Pull the jug and see what's going on.

Rip the pipe off and look up the exhaust port to see if the piston is damaged.

whats Blaaster said ^^^^ even easier would be to pull the head of and check if there are any marks on the piston

Eaiser maybe, but a new head gasket is then needed!

You can easily see the piston up the port.
