Hi everyone I'm trying to diagnose this issue my brothers beloved Blaster an 01 was swept down stream the other afternoon and tumbled ove a couple of times. I'm trying to get him back on the trail, I drained the crancase and refilled the oil, I also drained the gas tank just inc ase and refilled with high test and I also removed the air box air intake tube and cleaned and dried everything including the filter. The only visible signs of damage were that the handlebars were rotated closer to the tank which I fixed and that the front bumper is bent beyond repair (no biggie there as they're cheap) after all the is it would start by kicking it over but i had him tow me behind my truck with the spark plug out to clear any h2o in the carb etc... Then installed new plug after checking it was throwing spark on the side of the head. After about an 1/8 M slow tow behind my tundra I got it to pop and idle but as soon as you touch the gas it dies. I am lost other than Ive heard negative stuff about the t.o.r.s on these machines and was wondering if this type of running problem was indicitive of a fault in the throttle over ride system and how to test it or where I should start next. Any info or guidance is greatly appreciated.
