i have a 2002 blaster..i am in the process of tors removal.(moose carb kit)i was looking at the right handle bar,i know one of the cables is my front brake8-| but what is the other one for?i looked under the hood and it connects to a clip that goes to all the wires.what does it do?i was also gonna put in a new front brake lever and wanted to know if i needed the second wire?

i believe that to be the parking brake sensor that is part of the tors i think. i removed mine and not had any problem i also have the tors removal kit on my 2002 :)

personally id take the throttle cover off and take the whole switch out as its just a hassle(for me anyway lol) if it hangs down or you can just cut the wires after unplugging it so theres nothing hanging down :) , and would need to ask someone else about the idle screw as i didn't use mine as mine decided to tick over without it.

I don't remember if it was in the throttle or brake lever but there was a small switch in one that I was going to leave off when changing parts from my 04 to my 01 and with it unhooked, the engine wouldn't rev. I wouldn't cut anything until you know for sure you won't need it. I had just unplugged mine and when it didn't rev, I remembered something that I had read. When I hooked it back up, everything was fine. If you don't want it but need it, I'm sure you could test to see if it was a normally open or normally closed switch and wire to make it read like it was working. I'll clean all that stuff up when I take mine back down to do the finish work, I want to have all the building and modding done before I make it all nice and shiny.

File the boss to 90 deg before you drill, then insert the tap and turn clockwise.

As soon as the tap starts to bite and cut threads the rule of thumb is to turn the tap clockwise for one revolution and then back off half a turn the cut the swarf off.

Lubricate with Metholated spirits or if you have none WD40 is a bad second choice.

Clean every little bit of swarf out and remove the burr inside the carby before you insert the screw.
