Blaster going in reverse??

Yup, my blaster went in reverse? For some reason my 2002 Blaster would take it's gears in reverse. Any suggestions why?

Well I blew a hole in my piston got it fixed and once I started it up it went in reverse? I know when the piston went out the back tires locked up so while I was in 6 gear would that cause something to go wrong with the tranny or what?

you probably installed something incorectly. maybe the kick start assemblly. its turning everything backwards. if you pop start it normaly, it will go but usualy the only way to get a blaster running in reverse is pop start it backwards.

I haven't been diagnosing quads for quite some time now (see introductions post) but my friends dirt bike once went in reverse....it turned out to be a broken piston skirt....which messed everything up!!

You say you fixed, or got it fixed....so??????

Try bump-starting it.

your firing at the worng time out of sync with the stroke ..your flywheel key and/ or timing plate needs checked out
