I gota 99 blaster fresh top end and it wont idle and bogger when u give it a little bit of gas but is okay when its at high or mid rpms. It only gas a pro circuit silencer, i tried a 230 main and a 290 still no good.

my check list,

replace spark plug
check reeds
clean carb
remove pilot jet and clean.
check float level
try fresh gas and ensure proper mixture
make sure carb boots are sealing to carb.

Main jet has no say in the idle setting.

The pilot jet may not be perfectly clean or the idle may not be adjusted properly.

List your full mods, it may help to solve the problem.

Oil injection or pre mix and if so what ratio?

Try this.

Idle adjusting.

Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a fast idle.

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs to allow the motor to respond.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .

if you havne't yet, unplug the wires going to the big tors box on the carb. then set everything back to stock settings. idle screw out 1.5 turns. do you still have the airbox lid on? that changed jetting quite a bit

Premix of 32:1 needs a #240 main jet, depending on temp and elevation!

Sounds like it is starving for fuel, either the pilot jet is obstructed or the idle setting is way off.

Please explain idle is all the way in.

Is the air screw out about 1 1/2 turns?

You need a #250 - #260 main jet depending on size and number of holes drilled in the lid.

Do not run a #230 you will cook it as sure as eggs are eggs.

Do you have any other mods that you would care to share, and is the idle set correctly.

i run the same setup, bout 600 ft altitude and with snorkel the 230 main was propper, took snotkel off and new boyesen dual stage and up to a 270 main now with air screw bout 2.5 turns out at most,
A little bit of crap in the carb will cause what you have,2 strokes are finicky with their fuel delivery.Clean the carb again.
Sporty and Blaaster are spot on,do what they say,if that idle screw is all the way in u have some carb issued for sure.
