Blaster Forum Contest Program

Okay guys, since there has been so many contests and we are using some random site to get the winner... I figured why not have our own program?!

So, in the past few hours I coded this mean little program.

When you first open it, it looks like this:

You enter the information and it chooses a random post. From there, it will tell you and also produce an image like this:

This program is FREE and of course SPYWARE/VIRUS Free. I coded this from scratch on my own computer, and I am 100% positive it is safe. Just download the .zip file and extract the .exe. Simple as that.

Can someone try this out and make sure it works on their computer? I tried to make it so that you were not required to install anything. Hopefully it works well!

Open to feedback and changes.

It just chooses a post number and you have to find it. You type in the number of posts in the topic and it won't go higher than that. I plan to work on a new version tomorrow that will get the name of the person automatically for you, though it will be really hard to make.

Thanks guys. My goal with it was to create a more uniform way the contest winner is picked. And, I know that no members would do it, but this also eliminates any way to "fix" the contest and also eliminates any way to argue that it was fixed.

The person who creates the contest will fill out the information when they are ready to find the winner. They post their username and how many posts the thread had, and it will choose a random number for the winner.

Not a problem.
My harddrive recently took a dump. I'm hoping it was one of the files I recovered to the new one. If not, I still have my junk one. It's just not easy to get files off of. But you gotta do whatcha gotta do, so I'll do that if I gotta do that! That was one heck of a tongue twister. Lol.
