Just did top end on my blaster and this is second time riding and out of nowhere it started to idle extremely high kill switch and key wouldn't shut the motor off it just kinda died. Got it running again drive thru some water in the trail it seemed fine? I have a br8es plug. Has new base head and reed gaskets not sure what's going on ?

Sounds like your running lean ether from wrong jetting and/or air leak. Do a leak down test and plug chop.
are you saying you tried to shut it off and it would not shut off??

Leaktest first and foremost. Was the proper heat cycles and break-in procedure done and then leak tested. Hope the rebuild was done by a good builder, and hopefully cheap paper gaskets were not used!

Yeah I hit the kill switch and the motor didn't shut off. Bike is stock not sure bout the jet but pretty sure it's stock also
If you did not perform heat cycles and re tension the head and cylinder nuts, the gaskets may now be leaking.
When you leak test pay particular attention to the carb boot and the reed cage, they are notorious for air leaks.
Over tightening can also warp the intake boot and cause it to leak.
Fuel starvation can also cause runaway idle.

Head at 20ft lbs, cylinder at 18ft lbs.
If the head was leaking it will have possibly made a path that tightening the nut will not help seal.
You may need a new gasket.

When you have a runaway engine, put it in gear, hold brake, let clutch out. Don't wait for it to "die" on it's own, or it may just die forever.
If you still have the tors leave it on there and remove the gold spring on the right side of tors kit. Literally just pry it up if doesn't fix can always put it back in. I bought mine changed plug started right up and instant high rev wouldn't shut down. Had to choke to kill. Took the spring out and ran perfect. The throttle slide isn't dropping all the way into the carb. Let me know if this works. Take 5 minutes to do. Just remove 5 screws and side cap its right there
