Ok fellas just got my 1st blaster today. 2004. I want to put an exhaust on it. Fill me in. Do i need new pipes and all or can i just slide one on or is it worth it without new pipes. What kind of exhaust should i get. Any info appreciated. What other cheap mods are good to add? Any info is appreciated on anything i'm a noob. Just had polaris 300 auto before. Thanks in advanceI:I

Welcome to the forum....do some searching and you will find a lot out about all the mods you can do to your blaster. Some other cheap mods you could think about are oil block off if it isn't done, a 14 tooth front sprocket if you want more topend, or a new air filter and run without the airbox lid. There's plenty more that you could do, it all depends on what your end goal is for the blasty.

Before you go upgrading.I think it would be best for you to read up on how to jet and take take care of you Blaster.A new pipe won't do anything for you if you don't know how to take care of it and blow it up.

well said dakota, good info for a newb.....every performance mod you do to the engine will require some jetting changes in the carb, search for "jetting 101"
read and learn grasshopper!!!!

Jetting depends on a lot of different variables, such as temperature and elevation along with the mods you are adding.

If you are gonna add a pipe and filter now, but plan on continuing to mod your blaster in the future, your best bet would be to order a bunch of jets from Jets R Us JETSRUS. That way you have the jets already when you need them next time, and don't get hit with the shipping charges each time.

thanks guys. i've done some research and i think i've got it. For basic performance i really need to get some reeds, jet kit,air filter, and exhaust. Am i right? What reeds and jets do you recommend for this?
