hey so i was planning on going riding this weekend but i changed the front sprocket for a smaller one. problem is now i got a crapload of slack in the chain. turns out the idiot that used to own it conveinently stripped the chain tensioners in the place where they needed to be so it worked for now. but now i need to tighten the chain up so i can go riding this weekend. any ideas of how to rig it up so it will at least work for now? thanks in advance

been awhile since I've dealt with stock chain tensioner's but is there room to put a nut on the inside of the tensioner? So you'd have a nut on both sides of the tensioner to hold the bolt in place?

not really. im gonna have to eventually buy new ones.. right now i tightend the bolt on the bottom of the hub as much as i could. but it still moves back and forth.

im planning on taking a link out. but the hub still moves back and forth so it still gets loose

i am making a chain tensioner setup that mounts up to the swingarm and is a functioning roller and tensioner. pm me and we can talk business.

thats a good idea man!!!!I:II:II:I

or u could take them out and go to the hardware store and find matching bolts that would work

when i went back to my 13 tooth sprocket from the 14/40 sprocket and chain set-up i boght complete, i had to remove 2 links for it to work, so, imo, you do need to remove or add links when going up or down front sprocket sizes
