hey all I recently bought a blown blaster from a friend for cheap. Supposedly it ran before but the piston cracked so i had it bored and put a new piston in it. i do know that it has a new carb bought off ebay that might not have ever been jetted right. rode it for a few hours with no problems and put it away. the next day took it out and can ride it a bit but after 10 minutes or so it will start to bog down and keeps getting worse until it stalls completely and will not start again until it cools down. checked the plug and it looks black, but it is a new plug so it's hard to tell. it also made a backfire this last time before it stalled which it has never done before. could the carb be jetted lean? it does get worse with the choke on. is it overheating? any ideas very much appreciated.

take ur jet out and see wat size it is and tell ur wat u have done to it. exhaust? kind of carb? and is ur airbox lid on?

it has vf2 reeds, airbox lid off, and a fmf powercore2 silencer(stock pipe). not sure what kind of carb it is as i did not buy it and my friend was not sure. i believe it's a stock blaster carb though.(any way to check?) other than that all stock. I'll check the jet tomorrow when it's light and i can see :P

yea pull the jet and see wat size it is with the exhaust and no air box lid ur gonna need anywhere from 250 to 280 or more depending on ur elevation.

Yes. stock pipe with a fmf pwoercore 2 silencer. sorry i said i would check jet yesterday, work cought up with me, will tomorrow morning for sure
