blaster 70.78mm

hey guys my buddy bought a blaster with a bad piston .. its currently 70.78 mm what does he need to get it bored to ?(cylinders scored) and what size piston? thanks

Sounds like you are already past the limit....
From what I gather, 68.5mm is about as far as you'd want to go on a blaster cylinder. Sleeve maybe?

i was thinking maybe its a big bore kit like a 230cc as all the 240s are 72mm

Airsal makes a Big Bore kit that's 71mm bore. Is the piston skirt longer on one side than the other?

i just went to look at it there( for the first time he rang me and told me the first info ) its the airsal cylinder kit its 70.75 the cylinder aint pretty not sure if he would get away with 71mm bore which is the only size overbore piston i can find for it! and suggestions?

It's my understanding that the airsal cylinder's don't get overbored. They get re-plated...

Check that measurement ONE more time. It should be 70.95mm for a 71mm piston.

the arisal cylinders are nikasil plated and can only be replated when the cylinder gets too scared. No overboring allowed on an arisal kit.
