Hello guys I'm new here and new the the yamaha blaster.

I have just purchased a blaster 200cc 2006 bike. It had just had re bore and new piston 1 ride before I bought it.
It started when I viewed, when I got home I couldn't get it to kick start but though it maybe due to old fuel as sat for 3 months. I got my brother to push me and thought I'd bump it but it started for about 10 secs then as I slowed down it rev'ed up the bogged down. Did this 2 or 3 time then would start.

Now when I kick it it sound a bit dry(squeaky). Any ideas ?

As it won't start at all now.

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

Before you try to start it again you should leak test it.

I could be a good idea to pull the header pipe off and look up the exhaust port for signs of piston/ring damage.

Thanks guys, I have good spark, I'll check fuel and report back.
I'm not familiar with what the reeds should be like but ill have a look.

I don't have a air leek tester but I will try to get one tomorrow as well,

Will I of damaged the engine trying to bump it. As now when I kick it over it squeals a little where as it didn't before.

Also when I did bump it towards the end it sound like it was back firing form exhaust manifold at the front.

Thank in advance.

Sounds like you developed an air leak and ran lean.

Do not try to start it .

Pull the header pipe off and look up the exhaust port for signs of piston/ring damage.

ok and what am i looking for?

i think as i was trying to bump start it with another quad pulling me that the damage may already be done,

In uk i cant find any one to buy a air leak tester from.

Maybe i need to seek professional help....
