Big Bore Questions

I have a few questions regarding big bore setups, the convenience of the bbk is hard to beat, however I was interested in hearing your opinions on a DIY.

I can get a stock jug off ebay for really cheap, I would like to bore this out to accept a big bore sleeve. My question would be which sleeve do I go with?

Im not worried about the machine work, thats the easy part. Is pressing the sleeve in a pain? Lining it up. What piston options do I have besides Vitos.
Im thinking I could get my own kit together for half the price of a vitos kit.

I have been looking into this, and from what I have gathered heres how it adds up for me.....

Sleeve - $100 eBay
Cylinder - $75 eBay
machine work - $200 KOR
piston kit - $180 KOR
total - $550

Everything ready to install from KOR/eBay -$555.00

have ken get you an LA Sleeve brand sleeve, there's a reason he uses them.
and a wossner or vitos piston.
