big bore question???

2smoker pretty much nailed it. I'm not a fan of resleaved big bore stock cylinders because the heat transfer is not good on them resulting in overheating issues. They also limit you to a single exhaust design because there is not enough material to add the sub exhaust ports. Bang for the buck spent you would be much further ahead to get a good port job and/or an aftermarket cylinder assembly.

no, you don't want to resleeve it. ur just wasting time and money, it will run hotter and is more likely to sh*t on you over a 240bb kit you buy.

wildcard does amazing work, get him for a port/polish and get a good exhaust, i love my lrd so i would go with it.

it has a fresh bore in it now but i was wanting more out of it. i thought bigger would be better. i have all the upgrades besides bigger crank port polish and head work

if you want more out of it, get it ported. Thats the best bang for the buck and it'll run like a completely different machine

port the cylinder and throw a bigger carb on it. you'll be surprised at how good it'll run

sorry, didn't see that you've already got a 34mm carb on it

no have wildcard2 do it he will hook it up, send him a pm and he will price it for you. depends if you want an aggressive p/p(which i would reccomend) he has a couple to choose from.

just port and polish will make that much of a differnece? because im a big guy and my blaster is fast but not fast enough.

I weigh 290# and Kennedy felt very confident about being able to put some power in my blaster. He recommended that I keep the stoke bore and add a 3mil stroker along with a good pipe, vf3 reeds, heavy duty clutch and a 35mm pwk carb. Depending on the porting he said that I could get a reliable 33-38 whp.

damn sounds interesting. i weigh 290 as well lol. but ima just have the port polish and head work. the crank is a bit pricey for me now.
